Workshops February 6, 13, 20, 27, 2012 - Tubac, Arizona
I am happy to tell you that I will be teaching a weekly workshop on Mondays during the month of Feb. Come and paint with me in the historic city of Tubac Arizona and its environs. The southwest flavor, the quaint buildings and ambience of the local color, makes this a very special place. There are many art galleries to enjoy in free time. Tubac is renown for its dedication to fine arts and offers some very fine Mexican food too!

March 5-8, 2012 - Alliance for the Arts, Fort Myers, FL
I am teaching at a new workshop center, Alliance for the Arts. It is very exciting because it is fine arts organization dedicated to upholding the methods, practices and craftsmanship of the Old Masters. They offer many varieties of weekly and monthly workshops for very serious artists. The facilities are wonderful, and since I love painting Florida, the beautiful marshes, trees and flowers, I know this will be a great workshop.

April 15- 20, 2012 - Wilmington, NC
I cannot go through a year of teaching without visiting North Carolina, a truly beautiful and diversified state. This will be my first workshop in Wilmington. There are beautiful historic beach scenes, and we will be there during the amazing Azalea season. In North Carolina, there is always so much beauty from which to chose to paint!

April 30-May 4 - Tubac
As I mentioned above, Tubac is a historic city and one of the first towns to be recognized for its involvement in the arts. Tubac is an art mecca, with hundreds of artists and artisans work and living there. The southwest flavor, the quaint buildings and ambience of the local color, makes this a very special place. There are many art galleries to enjoy in free time. Tubac is renown for its dedication to fine arts and offers some very fine Mexican food too!

May - Amalfi
Please check back for more details. I have taught in Amalfi before, and simply adored it, one of my favorite places in Italy. Thus, I am really excited about returning. The landscape is breathtaking, the people are wonderful, and the food--well, what needs to be said about fabulous local Italian cooking?

June 11 – 15, 2012 Falmouth, Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Having lived on Cape Cod for over 30 years, I can honestly say that each city has such amazing diversity and painting offerings, that you will want to return. Falmouth is quite a distance from my old home town of Provincetown, so my workshop at the beautiful Falmouth Artist Guild a year ago, was the first time I really became acquainted with Falmouth. I cannot wait to get back because there were so many gorgeous beaches, vistas, flowers and quant streets, that I did not get my fill of painting there. I know you will love attending this workshop.

July 30- Aug 4th, 2012 - Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts
I lived on Cape Cod and in Provincetown for many years, as mentioned in my bio on this website. I was the third director of the important and historic Cape Cod School of Art; one of the first schools in the world dedicated to teaching plein air painting. The school is credited for turning Provincetown into a major art colony. Provincetown is one of the most unique and breathtaking places I have ever painted, in many ways. not only is there a wealth of painting venues, from ocean views, harbors, fishing boats, gardens, sand dunes, and forest, but everything is minutes away. Plus, great restaurants and night life. I love Cape Cod, I love Provincetown and I am thrilled to be teaching under the auspices of the beautiful Provincetown Art Association and Museum, back in my old home town. I know that you will not be disappointed with beautiful Provincetown.

Sept 24-28, 2012 - Acadia, Maine
As I said about my North Carolina workshop, I cannot let a year go by without teaching in Maine. It is another gorgeous state, but has it's very own particular flavor. There is nothing quite like Maine for it's beauty and quaintness. Nature is most spectacular with ocean views and rocky coves, old fishing boats and shacks, beautiful forests, and of course, sea food!

This workshop is sponsored by the Acadia Art Center, Desert Island Maine, This is my 5th workshop there, and it is always wonderful. Located near Acadia National Park, considered one the most beautiful national parks and a favorite and historic location for artists for centuries, you won't be disappointed.
